More about Fasting, its okay to fast !!

So those of you who may have just followed or just maybe forgot, fasting is not UNHEALTHY.

people always assume your metabolism will slow down from 24 hours of abstaining from calories. 

You metabolism doesnt slow down. It can actually speed up during that time.  AFter about 16 hours of no food your body undergoes lots of hormonal changes that used to keep us alive when food wasnt so easy to come by.  Your fight or flight hormone gets released after 16 hrs.  What this does is makes you more alert, clear minded, quick energy, and gives you a body high from all that. It feels really fantastic to be completely honest. It is recomended that you schedule fasting days on days you are really active, i.e., like going hiking or swimming, working out at gym, etc. You can push your body harder.  16 hours after fasting, your body also releases a hormone called HGH, and this amount of HGH that is released is equivalent to doing high intensity interval training. its really amazing. give it a shot !!!

its so hard to come up with new text posts about health and fitness.  It all gets repetitive after a while, and can confuse people.  So if you ever feel lost just check out my posts for any other info.
